Franz Joseph Haydn

Franz Joseph Haydn (1732–1809) was an Austrian composer, widely regarded as the “Father of the Symphony” and “Father of the String Quartet.” A central figure of the Classical era, he shaped musical form and style with innovation, wit, and expressive clarity.
